Export the hierarchy structure

The Manage Hierarchy Structure tool allows you to save the hierarchy structure in a text file and then import this file into another hierarchy. It can be used, for example, to compare the contents of two hierarchies or to copy the structure from one hierarchy into another.

To open the tool, right-click on the node you want to export, and select Tools > Manage Hierarchy Structure.

1. On the Export tab, check the boxes next to the items you want to export.
2. In the Export to File field, select where the exported file will be stored and enter the file name.
3. Click on the Export button.
4. Information about the selected node and its sub-nodes will be saved in a text file which you can open later with any text editor, such as Notepad (an example is shown below).
